The Arvay portfolio is comprised of both sweet and dry wines, including dry furmint, Sweet Life, Tokaji Aszu 6 Puttonyos and Essencia.  Janos Arvay grew up making wine at his family’s property in Tokaj.  As a young viticulturalist he worked his way through the ranks at several wineries and was named chief winemaker at Disznoko Winery in 1992.  There he and his team produced nearly a decade worth of outstanding Tokaji Aszu wines which not only brought worldwide attention, but also helped shape the renaissance of Tokaji Aszu.  He started his own label in 1999 with friend and partner Christian Sauska.   The Hungarian Academy of Wines named him Winemaker of the Year in 2003. 

In 2004 world renowned winemaker Paul Hobbs joined Arvay Wines as consultant, and is now proud to bring these unique and limited offerings to the United States for the very first time.
